DuALPLus: dual education system, a springboard to the professional world
The key role of dual education is recognized by policy makers, national and European actors.
However, some countries in Europe and the Alpine Space face challenges such as:
- the involvement of employers,
- integration of marginalized groups,
- demographic changes,
- adaptation to new challenges in the professional world.
At the same time, companies are looking for a trained and qualified workforce to adapt themselves to professional social changes and technological innovations. Companies are always on the lookout for new apprentices.
Objectives
- To improve the orientation phase for young people by strengthening collaboration between schools, VSEs and universities.
- To take more detailed account of the needs of apprenticeship teachers.
- To promote innovation in the dual education model, through the implementation of new concepts and collaboration with new targets.
- To increase the attractiveness of the dual education system.

Main activities
- Development of a career guidance toolbox, targeting organisations, coaches and trainers that provide career guidance for youngsters. The toolbox will be made available online for download on the project website.
- Creation of a handbook on innovative practices in dual education in the Alpine Space.
- Development of policy suggestions for increasing the horizontal and vertical permeability of dual education in the Alpine Space.
- Elaboration of a catalogue of modules facilitating permeability in higher education: with modules for preparation courses for higher education and for consolidation/advanced courses that are developed and implemented within the project. It aims at easing the transfer of the modules in the Alpine Space.
